We are very excited to again be partnering with ABA and AMCA to present our 2nd Annual GC Expo on August 23 at the Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch. We expect this event to be another huge success, with more GC exhibitors and attendees than last year! With event registration in full swing, our office has fielded a number of questions about the upcoming GC Expo regarding who is eligible to have an exhibitor booth, who can be a sponsor, and who can attend, so I wanted to reach out to the entire membership to provide clarification.
Who can have an exhibitor booth? Only bonafide General Contractor firms and the two top tier sponsors (Title Sponsor and Platinum Sponsors) may host booths at the event. We have had numerous requests from members wanting to host a booth, but that’s just not what the purpose of the event is. The event is to showcase GCs that our members (regular and associate) would like to learn about and perhaps have the opportunity to do business with. Title Sponsor (held by Brown & Brown Insurance) and two Platinum Sponsors (available) can be held by a GC, trade contractor firm or vendor/service provider. Each sponsorship comes with an exhibit space, a specified number of VIP tickets and a number of additional perks. We want to thank Brown & Brown Insurance of Arizona for stepping up as our Title Sponsor this year!
Who can be a sponsor? Sponsor opportunities are open to GCs, trade contractors, material suppliers, service providers, etc. (which includes anyone in our membership). Some sponsor types are limited in quantity and others are not. Please see the attached sponsor menu for details. We have a number of members who have already signed on as sponsors and we would like to thank Suntec Concrete, Sunstate Equipment, Buesing Corp., and Lifestyles Media Group for their support. You can see these and all of our other sponsors posted on the expo web site at http://www.azgcexpo.com.
Who can attend? Attendance is open to anyone interested in meeting GC exhibitors and networking with members of industry in attendance. While membership in ASA, ABA and AMCA is not required in order to attend, VIP tickets are only available to association members. VIP admission gets you into the expo one hour earlier than general admission and is limited to 100 tickets on a first-come basis. VIP tickets will sell out. If you have not done so already, I suggest you purchase your VIP tickets ASAP via the expo web site.
