ASA of Arizona Wins “Innovation Award”

Hot off the wire from ASA National Headquarters: ASA of Arizona Wins “Innovation Award”
We have the inside scoop!! ASA of Arizona has won the American Subcontractors Association “2010-11 Innovation Award” to be presented at the annual Champions Academy in Arlington, VA next month.

The Innovation Award was recently established to spotlight operational innovations and out-of-the-box thinking, programs or ideas implemented by ASA chapters. Some ASA chapters and state organizations are content to rely on “tried and true” programs and services, while others seek to “break the mold” and try new and different initiatives. ASA’s Innovation Award is targeted at the latter group – the chapters and state organizations that have developed creative or innovative programs and services that benefit their members.

ASA of Arizona leaders are proud to announce that the new Management Excellence Series of ASA of Arizona – MESA Course – leadership success training program scheduled to launch on September 9th has received this top honor. A great deal of thought and effort has been invested by the MESA Steering Committee and program facilitator in the research, planning and coordination of this exciting, new education program. To have the value of the MESA Course recognized by national ASA leaders is truly an honor and speaks volumes to the benefit ASA anticipates this education innovation will deliver to the subcontracting industry.

MESA program facilitator Susan Baxter, Creative Consulting Solutions, has already visited personally with many chapter members and industry partners regarding enrollment in the inaugural class. If you have not yet met or spoken with her and would like additional information you may contact Ms. Baxter directly via email at MESA@asa-az.org or phone (602) 402-6876. Information on the program is also posted on the ASA of Arizona web site at www.asa-az.org.
